Learn to see with "Otros Ojos"...

In spring 2007, DHF anticipates guiding several groups to Peru to take part in our first one-two week “Otros Ojos” (Other Eyes) impact adventures.  These trips will be designed to bring those who are interested in supporting DHF to engage in the reciprocity of giving and learning with the women of DHF in Cajamarca, Peru.  Above all else, our hope is that both the explorers and the women of our programs will learn to “see with other eyes.” These trips will be working trips more than sightseeing ventures: those who embark on these journeys will experience the homes and lives of beneficiaries, take part in their daily business preparations and activities, join HopeBank meetings and trainings, as well as offer your concrete support and ideas in order to build further sustainability in the lives of the women (e.g. help planning a neighborhood project, build a kitchen stove, enact new business ideas, etc).  Indeed, these will be experiences that impact our lives in powerful ways and the intentions of those who attend must truly be in union with the mission and values of DHF.
